Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA), ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights (APHR) and Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) have organised a dialogue on 9 May 2019 in Jakarta, to facilitate a discussion among human rights experts, thought leaders, political figures, civil society organizations, activists, practitioners, and academicians from ASEAN, to highlight key events, challenges, opportunities and recommendations in light of the AICHR 10 years review; and to activate collective political actions to strengthen the AICHR’s protection mandate through the proposals to amend the ToR and strengthen- the protection practices and/or mandates, with a view to strengthen the protection of human rights in the region.
